Creating New Project Documents in Project Workspace
Learn how to create new project documents within the Project Workspace by copying an existing document or starting from a blank document.
Prerequisites
- Must have access to the Bid Packages workspace.
Steps:
- Go to Projects in the Bid Packages workspace and select the project where you want to create new documents.
- Click the Actions button at the top-right corner of the project workspace.
- Select Add New Document.
You will now choose one of two methods:
Option 1: Copy an Existing Document
- Select Copy an existing document.
- Choose one of the following sources:
- From Template Library: Select any published bid package template as a starting point.
- From My Clipboard: Copy documents or templates saved in your clipboard.
- Select the document you want to copy.
- Enter the Document Name, then click Next.
- A preview screen of the selected document’s content will appear. From here, you can:
- Select individual content items, or
- Click Select All to include everything.
- Click Add to complete the process.
A new project document will be created by copying the contents from the selected source.
Option 2: Create a Blank Document
- Select Create a blank document.
- Enter the Document Name.
- Click Next to create a new blank document.
This creates an empty project document, allowing you to work from scratch.
💡 Tip:
- Use the Template Library whenever possible to maintain consistency across all project documents.
- Give each document a clear, descriptive name so it’s easy for your team to identify later.
- When reviewing the preview screen, select only the sections you need to keep your document clean and relevant.
