Adding Trade Workspaces to Your Projects

This guide outlines how to add Bid Package Trade Workspaces to your projects by selecting existing trades from your standard trade collection or creating new ones, helping you keep your project’s trade structure organized and up to date.

Before you start: Make sure you’ve already added the trades you want to use. If not, see How to Add Trades

Adding a Trade Workspace to Your Project

1. Go to Projects in the Bid Packages workspace and select the project.
2. Click the Blue Actions button in the top-right corner of the project workspace.
3. Select Add Trade Workspaces.
4. A list of available standard trade collections will appear.
   1. Use the Search bar to find a trade, or
   2. Select a trade by checking the box next to it.
5. Click Add to create the selected trade workspace in the project.

If you don’t find the trade you need in the standard collection

1. Click Add New Manually.
2. Enter the Trade Code, Trade Name, and optional Notes.
3. Click Save.
   This will create a new trade workspace for the project, but it will not be added to your standard collection.

If you want to import trades from your file

1. Click Import from a File.
2. Upload a file to import trades.
   If the trade data format matches, a new trade workspace will be added to the project, but it will not be part of the standard collection.

Your added trades will now appear under Trades Workspaces.

• Use clear and consistent trade codes so workspaces stay easy to find.
• Before adding a new trade manually, try using the Search bar to avoid duplicates.
